Money worries, the cost of living, and my mortgage payments
If you're worried about making your mortgage payments, know that we're here to support you. The sooner you reach out, the more options we have to tackle the situation effectively.
Speaking to us to discuss your situation will not impact your credit file. Your credit file will only be impacted if you miss a payment, or if you enter into a payment arrangement to repay arrears.
To help you and us better understand your financial situation, telling us about your income and expenditure is a really useful first step.

Ways that we're able to support you
The Mortgage Charter
The Government has been working with the FCA and lenders to put the Mortgage Charter in place, which offers support for UK mortgage holders.
As part of the Mortgage Charter if you have a repayment mortgage you can apply to reduce your monthly payments by either switching to interest-only for six months or extending your mortgage term.
It's important to understand that while this allows you to reduce your mortgage payments for now, it will increase the overall cost of your mortgage as there’ll be more interest to pay. You’ll also have higher payments when you go back to your original repayment plan or mortgage term.
Already have a mortgage with us and you're concerned about payments?
